About INDABA
in·da·ba ( n-dä b )
n.
From the Zulu meaning a council or meeting to discuss
an important matter.
[Zulu ín-dàbà, affair, topic for discussion,
conference :ín-, n. pref. + -dàbà,
affair.]
Australian Aboriginals in the Dhamuri district also
used this term to denote
a "Spiritual Gathering Place".
The Dhamurian Society also calls it's gatherings
Indaba. We try to encompass both meanings, by having discussions or conferences, and
to hold them at places of spiritual importance, or places which are spiritually pleasing
or harmonious.
Indabas may include a visit to a special site, short bushwalk, talks on various subjects
by members or guest speakers or plain chat sessions.
Most Indabas are held in the S.E. Queensland area.
Prospective members are welcome to attend, and if you
would like to be advised of future Indabas, please enter your email address below.
